The Fort Wayne Urban Enterprise Association

The Fort Wayne Enterprise Zone is a 3.99-square mile area designated
locally and approved by the State of Indiana. The area is targeted
for physical revitalization, job creation and improvements in social
and economic conditions.
The Fort Wayne Urban Enterprise Association (FWUEA) oversees the Zone
programs that address a wide range of issues in the Enterprise Zone
and surrounding neighborhoods:
- Economic Development
- Community Development
- Crime Prevention
- Youth Programs
- Education

Businesses located in the Enterprise Zone have available
to them incentive programs to encourage business
retention in central Fort Wayne:
- Gross Income Tax Exemption
- Wage Tax Credit
- Lender Interest Income Tax Credit
- Investment Credit
- Individual Wage Exemption
- Business Loan Fund

In addition to programs related directly to the Enterprise Zone program,
the UEA also operates a small business incubator know as The Fort Wayne
Enterprise Center. The Center offers space for light manufacturing and
offices for service-oriented businesses. The Center offers services to
help a new business succeed:
- Central Receptionist Services
- Shared Use of Office Machines
- Shared Conference and Training Facilities
- Loading Docks
- Access to Financing
